    1. Haha no worries! It’s a powder that you can get from most health food stores. The maca powder comes from a root vegetable grown in the Peruvian Andes and has historically been used by the Incas to reduce stress, boost energy, and enhance fertilty! I personally always notice an increase in energy when I have it (plus I think it tastes nice, it has quite an earthy-malt flavour almost).

      Here’s some detailed information I found below on the benefits if you were interested;
      – Is an adaptogen, which means it adapts to the needs of your body
      – Provides all the essential nutrients to maintain homeostasis of the endocrine system.
      – Has a high protein content with nearly all of the essential amino acids.
      – Contains vitamins A, B1, B2, B3, C, and D.
      – Is rich in minerals such as, iron, magnesium, copper, zinc, sodium, potassium, calcium, bismuth, phosphorus and manganese
      – Improves glucose tolerance and in turn, reduces blood sugar levels
      – Is an anti-depressant, and enhances learning and memory abilities
      – Supports fertility by regulating reproductive hormones and boosting libido
      – May help prevent oestrogen-deficient bone loss in women

      1. Darn it! I just left the health food store. I want some MACA POWDER. . .ooooh me on MACA. . .the world (and my husband) may not be ready. I may pay the health food store yet another visit tomorrow. Now I’m off to try the gluten free carrot cake recipe on your page (wiggling eyebrows).
