I use to purchase the Allergy Friendly Baking Powder from my local health food shop. Then I realised how simple it is to make it! This really is a great staple item to have in the kitchen, is allergy friendly and easy as 1-2-3!
Yields 1 cup (you can double, or half the recipe, if you want more/less!)
- 1/4 cup Baking Soda (Bi-carb)
- 1/4 cup Arrowroot Powder (or Tapioca Starch)
- 1/2 Cup Cream of TarTar
Mix all ingredients together and store in an air tight container! Use in place of commercial baking powder in recipes.
