One Ingredient, Healthy, Easy Banana Ice Cream Recipe!

Who doesn’t love ice-cream? Cool, refreshing, creamy and sweet!

But unfortunately, not too good for you. And if you are like me with allergies, can’t have most commercial ice creams as they are LOADED with this, that, and the other thing!

That’s why I would like to present to you this great recipe (if you could call it that!) for a one ingredient, healthy, easy ice-cream!

And if you hadn’t realised from the title of the post, that one magical ingredient is..BANANA :)

I love using banana’s that are extra ripe and then I like to freeze a whole bunch of them. They are so much naturally sweeter this way and taste SO nice in smoothies, muffins, cakes…and well now..as ice-cream!

This is just a baseĀ  recipe – feel free to add your own add-ins and toppings to make the ice cream of you desires.

One Ingredient, Healthy, Easy Banana Ice Cream Recipe

Ingredients

  • Banana

Method

  1. Cut banana into small pieces (about a centimeter) and place in freezer for at least one hour.
  2. Place frozen banana in blender or food processor and blend away! (You may have to remove it from the sides/blade a couple of times).
  3. Enjoy your ice cream once it reaches a smooth consistency (or chunky if you like it that way) :)

It’s such a great recipe/tip to have up your sleeve … I always find the texture is so gorgeously silky smooth. Haven’t tried making different flavours yet…. Will have to give that a try :-)

I am always freezing over-ripe bananas for this very purpose… Delish! :-)
